<description>I have had a pretty good experience with Dell too. I bought an Inspiron 5100 several years ago (first Dell I owned), and after a few months it began to overheat regularly. Dell took it in for repair, and returned it to me, but it still overheated. Amazingly they gave me a full refund on the price of the laptop (AUD$3000!) AND let me keep the laptop as well!! The overheating was a very common problem with that particular laptop as it used a desktop Pentium 4 which ran REALLY hot inside the laptop. Turned out all it needed was some compressed air every few months to clean out the fans (which got clogged no matter what). So I got a new laptop (Inspiron 8600, long gone now) and kept the old one!!

I have to say too that their CompleteCare and onsite warranty is simply amazing too. I had a problem with my 3rd Dell laptop (i710m) and the onsite guy was at my house the next day. He fixed the problem (replaced the motherboard) AND even replaced my screen when I mentioned it was scratched! I wish Apple had warranty like that :(</description>
