Actually, I went to the downtown office today.
I arrived there around 6:15 a.m. and I was in the line in front of the stair.
I'll go to Japan on last week of Mar. So I wanted to apply picking up passport at the office.
But I couldn't do it because I'm not leave here in 20 days.
Anyway, the passport should arrive in 3 to 4 weeks by courier. (Praying...)

I'm glad to see your site and went there early morning.
It's starting moving the line around 8:00
I'd done by around 9:30 a.m.

Thanks!

I've never been to the SE location, and I don't know that I'd recommend it - I don't know that there's any place to wait, which means it would be very cold. The down town location has a place for you to wait in line because they open the building at 6am or so (you might want to call and check).

Did you apply at 220-4th Avenue South East?
Do you know what time is open the door of building?
How long will it take to get passport in your case?

I'v plan to go to the office on early next week.

Please let me know it.

Thank you

Yes, you can apply for a passport by mail, but it adds an additional 10 business days of processing - which would put me right at the edge of when I'd need it by. Lining up was my only choice.

And you'd think there'd be a way to renew your passport, but there isn't: each time you're re-applying from scratch. It's a bad system.

I've heard of lines like that in that office years ago. When I went to renew my passport a year or so ago, I walked into the building, went straight to the room with the red plastic chairs, and had to wait five minutes. Timing is everything ;).
