Years back, there was actually a CCM band from my local town. The band name was Seven Day Jesus. They were actually pretty good, got signed to a label, and made a couple of CDs and were well on their way. Unfortunately, they really got dissolusioned by the CCM world, and eventually broke it up. It was a shame, because they were quite good.

Yeah, the Wikipedia page has some interesting stuff about Switchfoot and how they boycotted the CCM realm for a little while...it's an interesting read.

I had no idea that Switchfoot originated in the CCM arena. I some of their stuff, but haven't followed them closely at all. I do realy like Jars of Clay. I love their kinda soft, mellow sound. (One of my favoriate Christmas songs is a rendition of Little Drummer Boy that JoC did.) One of my favorite concerts I've actually been to was when I saw DC Talk's Freak Show tour and Audio Adrenaline was on tour with them. That concert was intense!
