I was watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds a few weeks back and chuckled when I saw the futuristic “space bandage” used was none other than the shelf lining I had in my home office! If I ever suffer a grievous head wound I’ll be sure to reach for it. 😜
(I recall reading the original ’60s Trek used a salt and pepper shaker for McCoy’s medical scanner, so there’s some history here of the props department using household items — love it!)
